On September 23, students from Keiser University, Vietnam (KUV) had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a workshop introducing the University of Kentucky (USA) — one of the most renowned public universities known for its rich academic culture and vibrant campus life. The workshop not only provided valuable insights into student life in the U.S. but also inspired KUV students to explore their own paths toward international education and university transfer opportunities.
Discovering the Culture and Campus Life at the University of Kentucky
During the session, representatives from the University of Kentucky offered engaging and informative sharing about American culture, student life, and the academic environment in Kentucky — a state often referred to as “the heart of the American South.” Students learned about various extracurricular activities, student clubs, and the American approach to balancing academics with personal growth.
The atmosphere became even more exciting as KUV students eagerly asked questions about study experiences, campus facilities, and academic programs at the University of Kentucky — a university consistently ranked among the top public institutions in the United States.

Useful Information on Tuition, Scholarships, and Transfer Opportunities
The workshop also provided practical information about living expenses, tuition fees, scholarship options, and academic requirements for international students. These insights helped KUV students better understand how to plan their study-abroad journey and make well-informed decisions about their future educational pathways.
Through the session, students discovered that transferring to leading U.S. universities, such as the University of Kentucky, is not only a chance to study in a world-class environment but also an opportunity to develop essential skills — from independent thinking and critical analysis to communication and teamwork.

Building Global Connections
Beyond providing information, the workshop served as an excellent platform for KUV students to broaden their understanding of American education and immerse themselves in multicultural learning experiences. It also helped students enhance their English communication skills, engage directly with international guests, and gain a deeper appreciation for American-style professionalism and critical thinking.
The event concluded in a lively and inspiring atmosphere, filled with meaningful interactions and excitement. The insightful sharing from the guest speakers, combined with the enthusiasm of KUV students, made the workshop truly valuable and memorable.

Keiser University, Vietnam would like to express sincere gratitude to the University of Kentucky for joining and sharing such enriching information, and to all KUV students for their active participation, which contributed to the success of the event.
